"7 Time Slashing Strategies for QuickBooks!"
1. The traditional backup (.qbb) is the usually the quickest and easiest to make. Here is the path:
File > Save Copy or Backup > Choose the circle that says, "Backup Copy."
Sometimes people backup their data in other ways and don't know that this type of backup MUST be used periodically. If your QuickBooks file runs slowly, it may be because you haven't used this backup procedure.
2. The portable file (.qbm) is the best choice for emailing because the file is smaller than the other types. It takes longer to make than the .qbb. Follow this path:
File > Save Copy or Backup > Choose the circle that says, "Portable Company File."
3. The Accountant’s Copy (.qbx) takes about as long as a portable file to make. Try to use the Accountant’s Copy whenever possible, since it allows both you and your accountant to work in the file at the same time. Follow this path:
File > Save Copy or Backup > Choose the circle that says, "Accountant's Copy."
For All File Types:
Be sure to remember where you saved the backup. I suggest you create a folder on your desktop called, "QB Backups." This makes it easy to locate them.
