For years I wanted to own and build a website. I wanted it to look professionally done, and I wanted to do it myself.

I tried using many well-known website tools. Since I'm not a website developer by trade, all of my efforts looked terrible! Very amateurish and unprofessional.

Have you experimented with the so-called "easy to use" website development tools of Yahoo, 1&1, godaddy, FrontPage, etc., etc., etc? What did you think of them?

Friends, if you have NOT tried these tools, don't bother. They are not easy to use! You must to be an expert programmer to design a website that looks professional using those tools. In other words, to get a professional looking site, you need to be good enough at it that you can sell website design services to others! Otherwise you site won't look good.

What if you're not a website programmer? What if you are a doctor, a contractor, an engineer, a retailer, or some other profession? What if you dream of selling e-goods? What if you have some other website dream?

Should you spend your time learning website programming? Should you hire somebody else do program your site for you?

I don't want to brag, but look at my site. You might think that I hired somebody to do this, or you might think I took the time to learn all of the programming to do this.

I did neither of these.

I researched my options to build a site for two years! I tried those "easy to use" tools. I tried other hosting companies. I spend far too many hours trying to use those tools I mentioned, along with several others that I didn't mention.

After those two years, I finally found what I was looking for.

If you dream of owning a website, and are NOT a website programmer, trust me when I say that those tools I mentioned are NOT the way to go.
