Clothing Stain Remover
Best Tip Ever

I have an old white towel that has been at the bottom of clean towel stack for a long time. Why? One day I wasn't paying attention, and threw it in with some colored stuff while washing. It came out light pink. :-(

I have not used it, and I have not thrown it away. Today for some reason I remembered an old "recipe" that I used on my kids' stained clothing when they were young. I can't remember where I found this "recipe" originally...

BUT IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

I decided to try it on this towel. The "recipe" is this:

For whites: one cup bleach
For colored: one cup non chlorine bleach

For all: one cup powdered dishwashing detergent such as Cascade.

Combine all in the hottest water the fabric can stand. Allow machine to churn items for a bit, then turn machine off to soak for at least three hours. Check to see how stains are coming.... if needed soak longer even overnight if needed. Once finished, turn machine back on and allow to finish cycle.

For me today, MY TOWEL WAS WHITE AGAIN AFTER THREE HOURS! So happy!
