Customer Blank when transferred from QuickPOS to QB

Hi Jennifer,
I know that I am using a very old version of Quickbooks (8.1) and QuickPOS (V4) but I am only starting out.
I am using Quickpos and have linked my Quickpos with Inventory items in Quickbooks. This all works well until I transfer the sales to Quickbooks.
It goes across with the Customer field Blank. So my Item Profitability report does not pick up the items as no job/custoemr is present.
How can I 1) transfer this over or 2) write a report to get item profitability?
