How to tell if you have a
Data File Problem in QuickBooks.
Is your QuickBooks file acting strangely? Are you experiencing any of the following?
- Repeated error codes?
- Can't backup?
- Can't verify?
- Can't upgrade?
- Can't update?
- Can't restore?
- Can't open the QB file?
If so, you probably have a data file that is damaged. If you can run the Verify Data utility, then do so.
If the Verify Data utility tells you to run the Rebuild Data utility, then do so.
Warning
Only run the Rebuild Data utility if the Verify Data utility tells you to.
If you can't run the Verify utility, or if the Rebuild does not solve your problem, then you need outside help.
Be sure to get your QuickBooks file repaired.... don't allow your problem to linger.
Data problems do not go away on their own!
